Senator Trillanes sinupalpal ng isang Filipino sa Austria

It did not take a while for Sass Rogando’s Facebook post to make waves in the online community submitted by one of her followers with images showing Senator Antonio Trillanes IV’s presence at a UN Drugs and Crime Conference in Austria bearing a US ‘Fil-American NGO’ identity and not as a Philippine Senator.

Recently, a related post by an avid Duterte Supporter and Foreign National, Malcolm Conlan is circulating with a video showing DDS Leader in Austria, Mr. Ben Repol, taken by another companion in the middle of the discussion about drug-related deaths in the Country.

In the video, Mr. Ben Repol began his dispute by standing up and bravely saying: “I think the Senator (referring to Trillanes) and the Human Rights is giving us the fake or not the real figure of the Philippines” as opposed to the statistics earlier presented by a Human Rights representative.

Repol defended that the death toll in Duterte’s War on Drugs involving 3,000 people killed are linked to official police operations and the other 16,000 is homicide. He finds it very ‘dubious’ for the Human Rights to generate a data that consolidates it all only to the alleged “extra-judicial killings” to blame President Duterte.

He also criticized Trillanes as ‘painting the Philippines’ into a bad scenario as the information he has been transmitting misleads everyone away from the real picture. Repol also supported the idea of the current Martial Law happening in Mindanao, where he came from, since people feel more safe and secure against threats of terrorism.

Repol also called the attention of Senator Trillanes by fabricating false information amidst allegations of diminishing satisfaction rating and popularity of President Duterte which already obtained at least 85% of Filipinos’ confidence, according to recent survey.

By focusing much on the casualties of drug-related cases, Repol couldn’t’ help but to end his statement by asking, “What about the human rights of the innocent?” – referring to those who have been victimized by crime-related cases involving illegal drugs.

In the post, Malcolm Conlan lauded Ben Repol in his ‘excellent question and brave effort’ thanking the latter for his continued support.

The video already amassed at least 300,000 views as of writing.
