PISTON President allegedly urges Transport Group to join NPA - Mamumundok kami at magre-rebelde

March 19, 2018 - Suspension of classes around Metro Manila is underway as yet another Nationwide Transport Strike pushes through to go about in defying the government’s long awaited Jeepney Modernization Program.
Formal announcement was disclosed Sunday, March 18, 2018 as of 11:45pm in the following metropolitan areas such as:
*Quezon City: ALL LEVELS, public and private schools.

*San Pablo City, Laguna: ALL LEVELS, public and private schools.

*De Lasalle University: ALL LEVELS, including administrative work in Manila, Makati, BGC, and Laguna campuses.

*St. Paul University, Manila – ALL LEVELS.

*Far Eastern University – ALL LEVELS, including administrative work in Manila and Makati campuses.

The protest is mobilized by Pinagkaisang Samahan ng mga Tsuper at Operator Nationwide (Piston) President George San Mateo with majority of demonstrators set to commence by merging in Cubao along Aurora Boulevard, in front of Cubao Elementary School.

Other protest actions are also taking place in Alabang Viaduct, Monumento Circle, Novaliches-Bayan and Anda Circle, Manila.

With anger and disappointment, San Mateo allegedly threatens the government that he will convene all Jeepney Drivers in the country not to comply with the ‘fascist’ government’s preconditions and urges them to join him in reuniting with former NPA comrades if their demands were not met.

In a statement last March 16, 2018, San Mateo allegedly said:

“Subukan ng Pasistang Gobyerno na hindi pakinggan ang aming mga hinaing. Mamumundok kami at magre-rebelde sasakami sa kilusang NPA. Gaya ng kinagawian ko total alam naman ng taong bayan na kami ay mga komunista NPA. Hahakutin ko silang lahat hanggang mawalan na ng pampasaherong jeepney sa buong bansa at tignan natin pare-pareho tayong mahihirapan.”
