Manila-Baguio in Just 3 Hours via Pozorrubio Exit

Great news to our Northern Wanderers! The Department of Transportation (DOTr) Tim Orbos recently revealed that the Pozorrubio, Pangasinan Exit Toll along the new Tarlac – Pangasinan – La Union Expressway (TPLEx) has finally opened, making travel time to Bagiuo to cut short in as little as 3 hours from the usual 6 hours of long drive.
Excited as he was, Orbos took to social media his excitement over the start of the Exit Toll’s operation as he traverses along the expressway with a photo to claim that it only took him 2 hours from Balintawak and that, Baguio was about 45 minutes away from where the photo was taken.
He posted: “Baguio—almost there! Opening today the Pozorrubio Pangasinan Toll Exit. It took us only two hours from Balintawak. Baguio a mere 45 minutes away from where we are. Build, Build, Build!"

The newly opened segment is also expected to shorten travel time from Tarlac to Pozorrubio in under 1 hour instead of a 3-hour drive.

TPLEx is funded by Private Infra Development Corporation (PIDC) and began its 88.5-kilometer long construction in August 2010 that will ply 17 towns and two cities (Tarlac City and Urdaneta City) across 4 provinces including Tarlac, Pangasinan, La Union, and Nueva Ecija.
