Mainstream Media published a FAKE NEWS about Haley’s not attending ComicCon Philippines

Citing ‘political unrest in PH’ is the common reason attributed to actress Haley Atwell’s cancelled ComicCon 2018 appearance. The indistinguishable headlines are all over the mainstream media suggesting that the actress made the decision herself.

This is as far as International Diplomacy Practitioner and known DDS member, Sass Rogando Sasot has observed and had the issue posted to her Facebook page.

Sasot made mention in her post that RAPPLER, CNN Philippines, Philippine Star, ABS-CBN, and GMA News all published a write-up bearing almost the same headlines.

"Rappler, CNN Philippines, Philippine Star, ABS-CBN, and GMA News ALL published a FAKE NEWS about Hayley Atwell's reason for not attending Comic Con Philippines. Sen Grace Poe when are you going to call out these propagators of FAKE NEWS?" Sasot said.

The statement issued by the organizers of the event reads: “We wish to inform everyone that Hayley Atwell has decided to cancel her appearance in the 2018 ComicCon Asia due to the perceived ‘political unrest in the country.’ In a message sent to us, Hayley said that ‘she is not comfortable making the trip’ at this time”

“While we maintain that ComicCon Asia remains a safe space for people who are united towards a common goal – that is, to shine a light on Asian artistry and talent – we respect the decision of Ms. Atwell and thank her and her team for their time during this whole process.” it added.

MISLEADING - At least somebody has been paying attention – With the looks of it, it sounds and even looks close to being FAKE NEWS as opposed to actress Haley Atwell’s reaction through her Twitter post.

Sass Rogando Sasot didn’t resist in calling out Senator Grace Poe on her post by suggesting as to when are these FAKE NEWS clerks going to have their own taste of medicine?

On Twitter, wellhayley responded by telling her followers saying “@cyambs that’s not accurate. They are not my words. My own statement is coming. Please @do not make assumptions. Thank you”

Another one with a reply by saying “@jackstone54 not my words. I’m releasing my own statement. I am clearly better informed than you think”.

Sasot’s post caught the attention of several Netizens with mixed reactions with one by the name of (Vincent Ribaya) contradicted the post saying: “WHY shoot the messenger? It was Comic Con Asia themselves that’s released the statement. Duterte mentality: discredit media, troll and troll. It’s real ironic how you guys react so negatively to misinformed media.” – bombarded with his own set of comments.

Meanwhile, no formal statement has yet been released by the actress herself as of writing.
