Mona Hassoun, nahuli na rin! Second suspect in Joanna murder now in custody

According to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA, Mona Hassoun, the second suspect in Demafelis' death is now with authorities in Syria.

“We have just been informed by the Philippine Embassy in Kuwait that Mona Hassoun, wife of Nader Essam Assaf, who are the principal suspects in the murder of our kababayan Joanna Demafelis, is now in custody of authorities in Damascus,”

Both suspects in the murder of Joanna are now in custody of authorities in the Middle East.

Meanwhile, the Lebanese national identified as Nader Issam Assaf, husband of Mona Hassoun, admitted that his wife beat Joanna Demafelis which caused her to faint.
Assaf revealed that he was the one who put Demafelis inside the freezer.
Assaf said the he put the OFW in the freezer after she blacked out because of the torture done by his wife Mona Hassoun.

He said that he panicked because of what his wife did to Demafelis.

Assaf was arrested by the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) in Lebanon and is now under the custody of the authorities. 

The Lebanese man also admitted the his wife Hassoun who is a Syrian national beat Demafelis most of the time.

According to Assaf, Demafelis was still alive, but unconscious during the time that he put the Filipina domestic helper inside the chest freezer.
