This teacher calls her student as “Bobo” on Social Media. Netizens reacted to her post

As the old adage says,  “Teachers are our second parents”, it means that teachers have the very important responsibility of shaping the lives of young, impressionable children. With this responsibility comes great pride and joy. Therefore all teachers should strive for what can be considered to be a "good teacher." A good teacher can be defined as someone who always pushes students to want to do their best while at the same time trying to make learning interesting as well as creative.

Way different on the case of teacher Rox Xie, not her real name, who took Facebook to express her annoyance to her student and indiscriminately called her student as "bobo (dumb)", a very unprofessional move.

“Hindi daw ako magaling magturo… Hindi ba pwdng bobo ka lang talaga?? Sisihin mo pa ko. (So I am not a good teacher... or you’re just dumb???? How dare you to blame me)" Roxia said in her post.

Rox Xie was supported by her friend, who seems to be a teacher too, and left  a comment “mars bungol (deaf) is real”.

A concerned teacher, Vivien Figuro, responded to Rox Xie’s post, calling out her very unprofessional actuation.

“That’s not the right attitude with a teaching profession should manifest. Just saying” Figuro said.

Roxi Xie responded to the comment of Vivien on her post, telling her that  she is not a tecaher most of the time and she easily gets onnoyed.

Vivien posted the screenshot of the char conversation she had with Rox Xie, who deactivated her account, to remind those who are in the teaching field about the  Code of Ethics they solemnly pledged.

Vivien received tremendous amount of praise on the internet after she stood up against a teacher who called one of her supposedly student ‘stupid’ on Facebook.
