Pacquiao on ethics complaint against Trillanes: Dapat parusahan kung mali, dahil uulit-ulitin ang mali!

In a TV interview, Senator Manny Pacquiao was asked regarding his opinion to the ethics complaint filed by Senator Dick Gordon against Senator Antonio Trillanes IV for his “comite de absuelto (committee of exoneration)” remarks as his expression of annoyance on the Senate blue ribbon committee on August 31, 2017, investigating the 604-kg shabu shipment from China, a motion that committee chair Gordon vehemently rejected.

“Kung sino man nagdisobey sa house rules, kailangan parusahan kasi gagawin at gagawin sa susunod na panahon (A punishment must be served to whoever disobeyed the house rules, to stop it from happening again)” said Pacquiao.

Gordon accused Trillanes of committing “unparliamentary acts and uttered unparliamentary language and exhibited disorderly behavior, which has caused damage to the Senate and to the people.”

Pacquiao clarified that he has nothing against Trillanes and said that they are friends. Despite of the spiritual cynicism he received from Trillanes saying “those who claimed to have a spiritual renewal, did not make them saints”, which offended him."

“Mabait naman si Trillanes, kumpare ko yan, di kami magkawaay. Sa floor kasi, trabaho ‘yun(Trillanes is a kind person. In fact, he is my friend. But not in work,)” said Pacquiao.

“Nainsulto ako. Sabi niya, ‘Pare di naman ikaw ‘yun’. E sino naman ang ganyan dito, ako lang naman,(I was insulted. He(Trillanes) said, ‘It’s not you Manny.’ So who else here is spiritually active aside from me.” said Pacquiao who has become a Christian preacher.
