200 e-bikes ibinigay ng Duterte Gov’t sa Marawi City

Despite of the tremendous tragedy happened in the war-torn Marawi City by our fellow Filipinos, the government is still putting their full effort to help them recover and start a new life.
Example of this was the turning over of the 200 fiberglass fishing boats and an initial 2 million fingerlings of Tilapia to the residents of the towns surrounding the Laka Lanao, next to Marawi City, last week as part of the recovery and rehabilitation program of the government for the residents of Marawi City, including Lanao del Sur who was severely affected by the Typhoon Vinta last year.

Yesterday, a memorandum of understanding was signed by Department of Energy (DOE) Secretary Alfonso Cusi, Marawi City Mayor Majul Usman Gandamra, Task Force Bangon Marawi Chairperson Eduardo del Rosario and orher officials, donating 200 electric tricycles to Marawi City government that is expected to be delivered before April ends.

"We assure you that we will not rest until Marawi returns to the beautiful and culturally rich city it truly is" said Cusi.

The distribution of the e-bikes is in accordance to the government plan to turn the city into an environment-friendly place and also to provide jobs to those residents who lost their job because of the disaster happened.

A proper training will be conducted for drivers on proper maintenance of the units, though the e-bikes have 5 years warranty.
